State funeral is all pain and no gain.

Public opinion is divided on Abe's state funeral. I am opposed to the state funeral. Leaving aside political ideology, I feel anger at the current administration for creating an issue that divides opinion.

Almost any policy rarely reaches complete agreement among the public. For example, in which areas should the limited budget be allocated more, such as healthcare, education, welfare, or defense? It is natural that everyone has a different viewpoint. There may be intense conflicts between people with different positions over policies. However, these issues are of practical importance and are worth intense debate in order to realize a better society.

How about the current state funeral fiasco, by the way? The state funeral will not bring about a better life for the people, improve the health and welfare system, or solve any geopolitical problems. It is a purely political ideological issue that divides people and wastes resources in terms of time and effort. (If the LDP had not proposed the stupid idea of national funeral, politicians could have used their time and effort to discuss other issues.)

This is indeed a typical "all pain no gain." I am absolutely appalled at the LDP administration for creating a completely useless problem that only divides public opinion, when there are so many other agendas that need to be discussed.
